EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Volunteers from Amcor and Evansville Water and Sewer Utility are gearing up to clean the Ohio River banks in celebration of World Cleanup Day.

The annual event, taking place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 8:30 a.m., is cohosted by the Evansville Water and Sewer Utility and the Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission (ORSANCO).

The cleanup is part of the ORSANCO Ohio River Sweep program, which includes numerous events along the Ohio River and its watershed to promote environmental stewardship.

The public can participate by signing a waiver and attending a safety briefing. Trash bags and gloves will be provided, and participants are advised to wear closed-toe shoes or boots.
