CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — A person was taken to the hospital after a fire broke out at a Cherokee County mobile home park on Wednesday afternoon, according to officials.

It happened around 4:15 p.m. at the Hidden Falls Mobile Home Park on Bells Ferry Road. Cherokee County Fire and Rescue officials said only one of the mobile homes caught on fire, but a neighboring trailer was damaged by the fire.

The person who was taken to the hospital was treated for burns, but no other information was released about their condition.

Officials added that the entrance of the mobile home park is closed, but Bells Ferry Road is still open.

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office stated that Bells Ferry Road is experiencing slowdowns and are urging drivers to avoid the area.
