GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Gwinnett County Sheriff Keybo Taylor caused a stir on social media on Tuesday after making a now-deleted long post on his personal Facebook account regarding the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk .

Kirk was shot and killed while speaking at a college campus in Utah last Wednesday on his own politically based debate tour.

Sheriff Taylor began his social media post by saying that his post was not political, but rather one of "human dignity."

"In no way do I ever condone violence in regards to one's political stance. I truly feel and pray for Charlie Kirk's wife and children. However, if you support the actions of Kirk, do me a favor. Unfriend me."
