DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - The City of Davenport is looking to bring in an interim city administrator while they search for current city administrator Doug Maxeiner’s replacement.

In July, Maxeiner said he was resigning because of significant health issues. His last day will be Oct. 1.

Davenport is looking to bring in Tim Gleason as interim city administrator for a six month term, expiring on May 3, 2026, with an option to renew the agreement for additional time if necessary, according to city council documents. The employee leasing agreement would be with MGT Impact Solutions, LLC (formerly GovTemps).

Before that happens, council is also looking to approve the appointment of assistant city administrator Nicole Gleason to the position of acting city administrator effective Oct. 1 until
