HANOVER, N.H. (WCAX) - There was a large turnout of police and first responders on the Green at Dartmouth College on Wednesday.

Hanover Police and Fire Departments, along with campus security, greeted students and faculty members as a way to let the campus community know that help is available if and when it’s needed.

“Trying to get them to recognize that we are not just here on business Friday or Saturday nights. Both the fire department and police department for Hanover and safety and security are here to help in any way that they can,” said Dartmouth’s Tom O’Donnell.

The event was also an opportunity to register bikes and scooters with campus security in case they are lost or stolen. All students are encouraged to do so.
