COLVILLE, Wash. – Colville is now home to a new fast electric vehicle (EV) charging site, enhancing regional connectivity, the Washington State Department of Commerce announced.
Commerce touted the new addition for closing a 20-mile gap along US-395, making EV travel more convenient for residents and travelers in Eastern Washington.
The project was completed in less than 12 months, significantly ahead of schedule.
The charging site is a result of collaboration between Commerce, Avista Utilities and the city of Colville. The Climate Commitment Act funded 47% of the project.
