The forward is one of five players who were acquitted of sexual assault charges stemming from an incident in London, Ont. in 2018, when they were members of Canada’s world junior team. Dube last played in the NHL in January 2024 before leaving the Flames shortly before charges were laid. His contract was allowed to expire and the 27-year-old is currently a free agent.
