LINCOLN ( 25News Now ) - Logan Correctional Center in Lincoln is facing multiple sexual assault lawsuits, with several women alleging they were abused by guards in the women’s prison.

Seven women inmates and former inmates accused correctional officers of sexual assault, retaliation, grooming, and neglect in the lawsuits against the center.

According to a press release from the Chicago nonprofit law firm Uptown People’s Law Center, the women claimed guards not only groomed and sexually assaulted them, but also bribed them for sexual favors, such as with medical care and sentencing credits.

The women also claimed they faced retaliation, including disciplinary tickets, loss of privileges, sentencing credit, and solitary confinement.
