ASHBURN, Va. — The Washington Commanders have added some reinforcements after a devastating trip to Green Bay that ended in a loss, but also landed several Commanders on the injury report . That includes two players that are now out for the season: running back Austin Ekeler and defensive end Deatrich Wise.

To address one of those holes, Washington brought back pass rusher Preston Smith, who was drafted by Washington a decade ago.

“With Deatrich being injured, if we had a chance to add another person to that group, it seemed like the fit," said head coach Dan Quinn. "I’ve followed him for a long time.
