PHOENIX, Ariz. — Local police authorities responded to reports of a suspicious bag left at the Turning Point USA headquarters on Wednesday morning.

A bomb squad reported to the scene and confirmed the bag wasn’t a threat to the public.

The public memorial for Charlie Kirk lives outside the headquarters, where mourners have gathered every day and night to pay their respects.

Kirk was shot at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10 during an on campus event. The suspect in his murder, Tyler James Robinson, 22, appeared before a judge Tuesday.

Over the weekend, authorities detained a young man who stomped on Kirk’s memorial outside the headquarters.
