GRESHAM, Ore. (KPTV) - Gresham Police are searching for a suspect who they say broke into an apartment and robbed the person inside on Wednesday afternoon.

Officers responded to the incident at an apartment building near NW 15th St and NW Wallula Ave at around 3 p.m.

Police say investigators spotted the suspect running to the Rockwood Market Hall from 187th Ave and Stark St at around 3:45 p.m.

A shelter-in-place order was issued for the area at that time since officers believed the suspect may have been armed.

After requesting additional resources, police reviewed surveillance footage and determined the suspect had left the area.

The shelter-in-place order is no longer in place.
