HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) -- The cause of death has been released for a Daviess County inmate who dies in August.

Troopers say the medical examiner ruled Dalton Gordon's, 28, death as acute drug intoxication. Officials say jail staff found Gordon unresponsive in his cell on the morning of August 20.
