It's a job that pays pilots over half a million dollars each year, and is widely considered one of the hardest spots to land.

Now, two men say claim they should have been selected into a river pilot organization.

Those allegations, one pilot associations says, are completely false.

Hundreds of thousands of vessels sail up and down the river each year passing through New Orleans.

And for generations, steamship river pilots are required to board the vessel and navigate those ships from the mouth of the Mississippi River to Baton Rouge.
