Police are searching for two hit-and-run drivers who struck and killed a woman walking in Redlands.

On Sept. 17, the woman was walking near Alabama Street and Industrial Park Drive around midnight, according to the Redlands Police Department.

Witnesses said two vehicles traveling at high speeds ran a red light near the intersection. One vehicle struck the woman while she was walking near the outside lane of the roadway.

The impact pushed her onto an inside lane, where she was reportedly struck by the second vehicle. Both drivers continued speeding away and never stopped to check on the injured woman.

Officers arrived at the scene and found the victim “unresponsive, with major injuries and no pulse.” Paramedics transported her to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
