Almost half a dozen fire crews raced to a house blaze in Coventry late last night. At its height there were six engines at the scene in Hawthorn Lane.
In social media posts, West Midlands Fire Service said that 999 calls were made at just before midnight to report a 'fire in a domestic property'. CoventryLive understands that West Midlands Ambulance Service and police were also at the scene.
Full details of the incident have yet to be released. What is known is that the crews were at the scene for around seven hours.
In the latest update posted by the fire service, it said: "Update to the incident at Hawthorn Lane, Coventry Crews have now left this incident and will be conducting revisits later this morning."
