A retired Coventry couple's vintage pram collection spanning back to the 19th century is poised to raise £10,000 at auction. Brian and Shirley Bromwich devoted more than five decades to building their treasure trove of 50 historical pushchairs.

Their oldest model dates from 1878 while another boasts an art deco aesthetic from 1930s France.

The pair's cherished pram is a Silver Cross, the very model used by successive generations of Royals, including King Charles and Princess Charlotte. The duo are now parting with their remarkable collection which they have housed in a substantial shed at their Coventry home.
