A persistent easterly flow is bringing light to moderate rain and cooler temperatures to central Pennsylvania today, with scattered showers expected through early evening and temperatures remaining significantly below recent averages.

Rainfall amounts are generally expected to range from one-tenth to one-quarter of an inch, with some areas in the Lower Susquehanna Valley potentially receiving up to half an inch of precipitation.

The National Weather Service forecasts these light showers will gradually diminish after midnight, with conditions clearing by early Thursday morning.
