LYNDHURST, Ohio -- A road rage incident developed to the point that a driver got out of his SUV on two occasions and used a garage door panel to strike the vehicle of the driver that drew his ire.
At 10:05 a.m. Sept. 10, multiple callers reported the incidents involving the two male motorists.
The altercation began on I-271 when the driver of a Ford Explorer SUV reportedly cut off the driver of a Dodge Ram pickup truck, and then proceeded to drive slowly in front of the Ram. The Ram driver responded by switching lanes, passing the Explorer, then driving in front of the Explorer.
Eventually, the drivers stopped on I-271. The Explorer driver, later found to be a 48-year-old from Akron, got out of his SUV and approached the Ram. He then used an 8-by-21-foot garage door panel to strike the
