BRAWLEY — The Brawley Investigations Team (BIT) and K-9 Units arrested a man Tuesday after a traffic stop led to the discovery of a "ghost gun" and methamphetamine.

At approximately 12:28 p.m., unmarked police units observed a suspicious vehicle making erratic maneuvers near the intersection of N. Eastern Avenue and D Street. The vehicle reportedly made repeated passes through the area before driving away westbound on Main Street.

Officers maintained surveillance on the vehicle until K-9 Units conducted a traffic stop at Brandt Road and Highway 86. During the stop, officers discovered that the vehicle's license plates were not registered to the car. A K-9 unit was then alerted to the presence of contraband.
