LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - This week’s hometown hero is Larry Agee, a 10-year Desert Storm veteran who in 2010 founded a charity organization that provides key disaster relief to survivors around the country.
Agee says, “After I got out of the military and I became a financial advisor, I started volunteering with different charities. And realized I had a knack for disaster relief.”
Disaster Aid USA has not only grown with volunteers over the years, but also its access to equipment in order to be ready for any disaster.
“Backhoes, and rescue boats, and skid steers, and tool trailers that are loaded with chainsaws and generators. And we have water purification trailer that creates 20,000 gallons of clean water a day.”
