Gogglebox stars Giles Wood and Mary Killen have revealed the meaning behind their unusual nickname.

The couple have been fan favourites since they joined the popular Channel 4 programme back in 2015.

Giles and Mary, who live in Wiltshire, often make viewers laugh with their witty banter and comical takes on the week's telly highlights.

The pair first met when they were 21, when Giles was studying at Wimbledon Art School and Mary was working as a model.

They wed 30 years ago and share two daughters together, BristolLive reports.
