As vote counting is currently underway in the Tuesday General Elections, some concerned people led by Chiefs from Machinjiri on Thursday stormed South Lunzu Tally centre to express their anger over the outcome of the Parliamentary polls.

People in the constituency led by chiefs in South Lunzu suspect some foul play on the result as report indicates that the unofficial winner is Veronica Ndalama of Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) who has amassed 8, 542 votes seconded by Rashid Gaffer, an Independent candidate who has got 7, 651 votes.

Independent Shadow MP Alex Achalume Chimwala is on position 3 with 4, 971 votes.
