Jahtaya O’Dayjah Hamilton is now officially a guest of the U.S. federal government and the Bureau of Prisons.

The 24-year-old Canadian woman from Leamington, Ont., was sentenced to 63 months in prison after pleading guilty to possession of an unregistered firearm.

According to federal prosecutors, the wannabe gun runner was nabbed and the weapons were discovered after a traffic stop. Hamilton had hired a rideshare driver to transport her from Houston to Little Rock, Arkansas.

The traffic violation occurred in Angelina County in East Texas. Deputies then noticed the stench of marijuana, searched the vehicle, and discovered the guns.

According to police, Hamilton flew into Houston and obtained the weapons with a plan to smuggle them into Canada, where they would be sold at a big profit.
