Former Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Arthur Maulet tried out for the New York Jets on Tuesday, according to the NFL transaction wire.

Maulet failed to make the Houston Texans’ final roster when they signed him in training camp. Now, he hopes the Jets will give him a shot to make the team, but he has yet to sign with them.

Maulet was released by the Baltimore Ravens in March after two years with the team. He had played as the Ravens run-down nickel cornerback and specialized as a blitzer, a similar role to his one with the Steelers.

Maulet suffered a calf injury in November in November that landed him on injured reserve and ended his season. All in all, he played in just three games this past season due to injuries. In those games, Maulet had just five tackles.
