PENNSYLVANIA (WTAJ) -- A State Representative is looking to address the multiple increases in gas prices throughout the day in Pennsylvania.
State Rep. Brandon Markosek (D-25) believes that these frequent changes, while dictated by supply trends and competition, take advantage of consumers. He is now proposing legislation that would prohibit those multiple, same-day increases.
The legislation, which has not been submitted for introduction yet, would still allow gas stations to increase the price of gas after receiving a new delivery and would not prohibit the retailer from lowering the price to compete with others, Markosek writes in his memo to House members.
