BARDSTOWN, Ky. — The final men convicted in Crystal Rogers’ murder will spend decades in prison , closing one chapter in a decade long Bardstown mystery.
Rogers, a mother of five, vanished over the Fourth of July weekend in 2015.
Brooks Houck and Joseph Lawson were sentenced Wednesday in Nelson County after being convicted in Rogers’ murder earlier this summer.
Houck, Rogers’ ex-boyfriend, was found guilty of murder (principle or accomplice) and tampering with physical evidence. Joseph Lawson was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with physical evidence.
Judge Charles Simms followed the jury’s recommendation, giving Houck life in prison and Lawson 25 years in prison.
