(FOX40.COM) — A person was cited after a traffic stop led to the discovery of marijuana, according to the Fairfield Police Department.

FPD said officers conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle around 9:47 p.m. on Sept. 13.
According to police, a strong odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle that contained three people under the age of 20. A search revealed an assortment of both packaged and unpackaged marijuana inside.
Officials said the marijuana was seized, and the driver was cited.
