GREENFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - Dade County deputies arrested a man accused of firing at them.

Tony Phillips, Jr., faces two counts of first-degree assault, a count of unlawful use of a weapon, and a count of armed criminal action.

Investigators say deputies arrived at Phillips’ home near Golden City on Friday, September 12, and heard a single gunshot. Investigators say they asked him to come out of the home with his hands up. Instead, they say he walked out carrying a rifle. They say he also aimed the gun at deputies.

Investigators say he eventually put the rifle inside the house where he was arrested.
