ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Three people were taken to the hospital after an early morning wreck in Escambia County.

The crash happened at about 2:45 a.m. on Thursday at the intersection of East Nine Mile Road and Palafox Street.

Officials said one person was trapped following the t-bone crash and had to be extricated from the car. First responders reportedly had to remove part of the vehicle to get the person out.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
