BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The City of Bowling Green has announced the winners of the leaf pickup trucks naming contest. After 130 entries, the city narrowed it down to the top six.

Public Works Director Andy Souza said, “Leafal weapon, Suck Norris, Keanu Leaves, Vac Street Boys, Autumnus Prime. I like Mona Leafa, to be honest; that’s my wife’s favorite as well. It’s kinda classy.”

Operations Division Manager Ryan Johnson said, “I think my favorite is Suck Norris, big Chuck Norris fan anyway.”

The Public Works Department is going to use those winning names and plaster them on the leaf pickup trucks.

It’s a fun contest, which they “be-leaf” brings laughs and smiles, while also encouraging residents to rake their leaves to the edge of their street this coming November.
