KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - A Central High School parent has been charged after Knoxville Police say she assaulted a teacher and a staff member on Thursday.

According to KPD, the parent was in an administrative office for a meeting about a fight that involved students. During the meeting, the parent became angry, threw a chair that hit a teacher and then punched a staff member.

The CHS Resource Officer detained her and she was charged with assault.

KPD says the teacher and staff member sustained minor injuries.
