Luther College, Decorah Community Schools launch preferred college admission program

DECORAH, Iowa (KCRG) - Luther College has partnered with Decorah Community Schools to launch a Preferred Admission program for top-performing students in the area.

The partnership offers qualified Decorah High School students the opportunity for Preferred Admission to Luther College and a Preferred Admission scholarship.

This program aims to provide more higher education opportunities for top students in the area.

“The Preferred Admission Partnership opens doors for Decorah students to pursue an excellent academic opportunity close to home, recognizing their hard work and supporting their next steps,” said Cindy Goodner, president of the Decorah Community School District Board of Education.

In order to be eligible, students must have a minimum 3.25 unweighted GPA and finish Algebra II
