SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Two people on a mini bike were hit by a pickup truck Thursday afternoon (Sept. 18) in Shreveport’s Sunset Acres neighborhood.

It happened just a few minutes before 4 p.m. on West Canal Boulevard between Dollarway Drive and Ivy Lane, according to Caddo Parish 911 records.

Police say a male was holding a 4-year-old in his lap on the mini bike when they were hit by the pickup truck. Police say the driver was trying to pull into his driveway when it happened.

The child was critically injured; the male was hurt too, but is expected to be okay.

It’s unclear at this time if the driver of the truck will be charged or not.
