KENT, Ohio (WOIO) - East Main Street in Kent is causing delays for drivers and students getting to class.
“The traffic is really bad, because this is one of our main streets and you can turn onto campus,” said Ava Mcwherter.
She’s a student at Kent State who not only drives but uses the bus system as well.
“If it’s going to be this way and it’s going to take even longer to take the bus I might just have to walk,” said Mcwherter.
The construction currently spans from the intersection of East Main Street and Luther Avenue to Horning Road.
According to the city’s website , the construction is a $25.5 million dollar rehabilitation project that will add two roundabouts to East Main Street.
