There was even more noise than normal at Abbotsford schools on Thursday (Sept. 18) as the members of the Cops for Cancer Tour de Valley were cheered on by students from all over the city.
This annual fundraiser includes more than a dozen dedicated police officers and other first responders who are undergoing a 700-km journey, all in the name of childhood cancer research.
To date, more than $56 million has been raised, helping to send many B.C. children to Camp Goodtimes, which provides a medically supervised recreation experience for children and teens with cancer and their families.
