VILLAGE OF GOSHEN – An arrest has been made in connection with the vandalization of a makeshift memorial site on Tuesday, established by supporters of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk at the foot of the Charles J. Everett Memorial.
The site included candles, flowers, and a photo of Kirk — all of which had been placed following a public vigil held on Monday. Kirk was shot and killed at an event in Utah last week.
According to Village of Goshen Police Chief Ryan Rich, because of the age of the adolescent suspect, no further information can be released. Sources said that the suspect is a high school student. Described by witnesses as wearing a dark hoodie and black pants, the suspect allegedly smashed several of the candles and took the framed photograph of Kirk before fleeing the scen
