SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- More lane closures are planned in Syracuse.
The New York Department of Transportation is alerting drivers that Interstate 690 will be reduced to one lane from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, September 19 in the following areas in Syracuse: • I-690 eastbound, between the I-81 northbound on-ramp and Exit 14 (Teall Avenue) • I-690 westbound, between Exit 14 (Teall Avenue) and Exit 13 (Townsend Street/Downtown)
The lane reductions are to facilitate surveying and pavement marking as part of the Interstate 81 Viaduct Project.
Construction activities are weather-dependent and subject to change based on conditions.
Drivers are asked to use caution when driving through the work zone area and to pay attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flagger
