PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Two months after a bullet struck a Salem home, authorities announced the arrest of a suspect behind the gunfire.
The case goes back to July 13, when Salem police responded to reported gunfire near a home on Park Avenue Northeast.
On the scene, officers found a bullet had struck a home, noting no injuries were reported, according to the Salem Police Department.
During the investigation, authorities learned that the home was not the intended target of the gunfire, and after establishing probable cause, arrested the suspect, identified as 32-year-old Guadalupe Gabino Sanchez of Keizer.
Authorities had obtained a warrant for the arrest of Sanchez, along with search warrants for his associated properties.
