KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The second victim in a fatal weekend shooting that happened in the parking lot of an area grocery store has been identified.

The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department announced on Thursday, Sept. 18, that it has identified the second victim in Sunday’s shooting at El Mercado Fresco as Delvyon Charmichael, 17.

Investigators noted that Charmichael was found a short distance away from the front of the store, in the parking lot.

Detectives indicated that they continue to investigate what led up to the shooting, as well as any potential additional unidentified suspects.

The news comes days after KCPD identified the first victim as Gande Salamed, 49, who was a co-owner of the grocery store.
