TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Sen. Ruben Gallego has postponed two town hall meetings over recent security threats.

Gallego’s office confirmed the Senator postponed next week’s meetings in Tucson and Yuma “out of an abundance of caution.” A new date has not been set for the town halls.

A spokesman said the decision was not made lightly, and Sen. Gallego continues to condemn all political violence.

The news comes a week after conservative activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated while giving a speech at a college in Utah.
