NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Metro Social Services is expanding its food giveaways.
MSS say there has been more people needing food and the program’s new focus is to specifically address where people in Nashville need it the most.
“We have to put food on tables now and we’re going directly into their communities, partnering with trusted organizations and stakeholders to feed Nashville families,” said Renée Pratt, MSS executive director. “I am very optimistic that Nashville will become a beacon of change as we develop effective and sustainable solutions to feed Nashville families and contribute to the overall health of our great city.”

Phase one of four is in North Nashville because it has the most food deserts out of a
