After 18 seasons with the Dodgers, three-time Cy Young Award-winning pitcher Clayton Kershaw will retire at the end of this season, the team announced Thursday.

The 37-year-old southpaw will make his final regular season start at Dodger Stadium on Friday against the San Francisco Giants.

“I’m gonna call it,” Kershaw told reporters Thursday night. “I’m gonna retire. We’ve talked about it a lot. I’m at peace with it. I think it’s the right time.”

With 11 All-Star selections, three Cy Young Awards and World Series titles to his name in 2020 and 2024, Kershaw will go down as one of the most dominant pitchers of his generation.
