UK supermarkets have started selling a new fruit - red berry grapes that go by the name Boombites.
While they taste like grapes, their texture is more like a berry or a cherry.
M&S and Ocado are currently selling the superfruit for £3 a punnet, with the new edible offering comparable antioxidant levels to blueberries and triple the resveratrol content.
Boombites are rich in anthocyanins, which help reduce inflammation, protect against cell damage, and promote good gut health.
Research also shows that these red berry grapes may help regulate blood sugar.
This is due to their slower glucose uptake despite their natural sweetness.
Public Health Nutritionist Dr Emma Derbyshire, PhD, said: "Dark fruits have soared in popularity over recent years as people become familiar with
