It was the best showing ever by the Fort Canoe Kayak Club (FCKC) at the Canoe Kayak Canada Sprint National Championships in Regina.
"Fantastic" is how the club's Kirsten Charlesworth described it.
Competing against 1,000 athletes from sprint clubs across Canada at the end of August, the Fort Langley club paddlers made 16 podium appearances, collecting gold, silver and bronze medals and setting several personal bests.
Two dozen athletes competed, the largest contingent FCKC has ever sent to the nationals, Charlesworth said.
