Notre Dame-San Jose flag football player Isela Trujillo is the Bay Area News Group’s girls high school athlete of the week for Sept. 8-13.

In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Trujillo finished with 56.6% of the votes. Castro Valley flag football player Erikka Flores took second.

Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.

Trujillo, a senior captain, helped Notre Dame finish the week 4-1-1. In a 32-7 victory over Gunn, she had six receptions for 80 yards, two TDs and a PAT, plus a pass defended, seven flag pulls and a sack.

In two games against Mountain View, she added six flag pulls, an interception and two sacks and five receptions for 75 yards and two TDs. She added four catches for 65 yards, a TD and two PATs, plus four flag pulls and three sacks
