Jeremy Jordan, Sept. 21

Outside of the theater world, Jeremy Jordan is often in the “hey, it’s that guy” territory, recognizable from something you can’t quite place, but to theater nerds, he’s A-list material. He’s a Broadway veteran who received Tony nominations for his recent turn in Floyd Collins as well an originating role in Newsies. In between, he has racked up dozens of stage credits from Little Shop of Horrors to the cult favorite musical Waitress.

To many, he’s best known as Jimmy on Smash, the sometimes brilliant but frequently hate-watched TV series about the making of Broadway shows. One of the more brilliant parts of Smash was Jordan’s performance of the song “Broadway, Here I Come,” which he will almost surely dust off for his performance at George Mason University’s Hylto
