PHOENIX (AZFamily) — While rain blanketed parts of the Valley overnight Thursday, a flash flood left one person trapped early Friday morning.

Phoenix Fire technical rescue teams were called to the area of Dixileta Drive and North Valley Parkway around 5 a.m. Phoenix firefighters say a vehicle got stuck in a flash flood with one person inside.

Luckily, Phoenix police officers were able to get the person out of the vehicle before firefighters arrived. Fire crews are evaluating the driver’s condition.

A Flash Flood Warning is in place for the Cave Creek and Carefree areas until 7:15 a.m. as a pocket of rain moves into the area.
