PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A Phoenix woman who used to work as a correctional officer at an Arizona prison prostituted herself for an inmate and helped smuggle drugs and cellphones into the prison, according to court documents Arizona’s Family obtained on Thursday.
Detectives said the investigation began earlier this year into 27-year-old Donna Leeann Harris while she worked for CoreCivic at the La Palma Correctional Center in Eloy .
Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office deputies reviewed messages through Securus , which allows inmates to contact the public through phone calls, emails and text messages, that showed Yahrusalem Burkes told Harris to set up appointments with men for sex at certain prices in Phoenix and Las Vegas, deputies said.
Harris would look for men willing to pay for sex
