CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A chemical leak was reported at the historic Bojangles Coliseum outside of Uptown Charlotte on Friday.
Officials confirmed that an ammonia leak was discovered at the decades-old arena around 5 a.m. on Sept. 19.
A dozen emergency vehicles were called out to the coliseum off Independence Boulevard but cleared the area by about 6 a.m. Paramedics said nobody was harmed by the leak, and there were no traffic impacts.
It was not immediately clear where the leak came from, nor how severe it was.
According to Bojangles Coliseum’s , it is not hosting any events Friday, but does have a concert coming up Saturday night.
