SPRINGFIELD, Ill (KWQC) - Memorial services for former Illinois Governor Jim Edgar will begin Friday.
Governor Edgar will lie in-state from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Rotunda of the Illinois State Capitol.
Visitors can sign a memorial book and pay last respects, officials said.
Memorial services for Governor Edgar will begin at 11 a.m. at Central Baptist Church in Springfield, Illinois. Officials said doors open at 10 a.m.
The former Illinois governor died after a battle with pancreatic cancer at age 79.
